Why Wellness is Exploding in 2026 and Why I'm Excited About It

I’m learning that surviving a high-pressure life doesn’t mean ignoring your body—it means listening to it.
In 2026, wellness isn’t a luxury—it’s a means to survival. After years of stress, constant stimulation, and never ending demands, more people are asking: "Am I living, or just reacting?"
Wellness today is about intentional living, energy, and emotional balance—not about chasing a perfect body or lifestyle. It’s about choosing what truly serves you.
My Personal Journey
I’m a plus-sized woman, just starting my wellness journey, and I’m putting myself out there so that no one feels judged.
First, let’s get one thing straight: plus-size does not mean unhealthy. My doctor once told me that, based on my blood work, had I not been sitting in front of her, she would have thought that I was an athlete. At first, I didn’t know if I should be offended or happy—but by the end of my visit, I did manage a chuckle.
I'm mindful of my weight, am working toward healthier habits, and can acknowledge what years of internalized stress can do and how it shows up in the body. That’s on me—no excuses, just facts—and I’m sharing openly with my community because if I can chuckle at myself during my own journey, maybe you can too.
I’ve tried red light therapy, and I love it. It boosts my energy, reduces inflammation, supports recovery, and even improves my skin.
Meditation is my new superpower—I no longer react to what doesn’t serve me. I pause, I observe, I choose.
Supplements have become my silent corporate survival allies: probiotics, resveratrol, ubiquinol, vitamin D, collagen, calcium, magnesium, ashwagandha and theanine are just some of the things keeping me sane when deadlines and meetings threaten to turn me into a caffeine-fueled zombie. This is my experience, not medical advice, but it works for me.
Therapies I’m Exploring that You Might Find Helpful too
• Blue & Green Light Therapy – helps skin, sleep, and mood
• Cryotherapy & Ice Baths – shocks your system, releases stress, helps you come alive
• Compression Therapy – like a hug for your legs, speeds recovery
• Naturopathic Therapy – herbs, nutrition, lifestyle support
• Wellness Centres – all the above plus meditation, specialized breathing , and coaching
• Collagen - keep your joints, and skin healthy
Wellness isn’t about doing it all—it’s about exploring what works for you, without shame or guilt.
My Takeaway
In 2026, wellness is less about perfection and more about awareness, choice, and self-care.
I’m learning to:
• listen to my body (sometimes it yells, sometimes it whispers)
• insulate my energy
• reject what doesn’t serve me
Today, wellness is about responding, not reacting—for that may be the most powerful form of happiness.
With love,
Jackie
